Bumpy Roads |
 |

While on one of those outreaches in the upcountry Prisons, we had
a feel of the potholed rough roads in the country side and as I
was trying to explain and apologize to our friend who was visiting
Uganda for the first time, she responded by saying that some time
back
as she was growing up back in the
US, they also used to go through rough roads to reach home, and
her Father would sing for them” Bumpy Roads Take me home”
We went further and we related it to our day to day life, and we
were amazed at how God allows us to go through those bumpy roads
in our lives only to bring Us out better people and to place us
where He wants us to be. God is a good God and His way is perfect.
It’s on those roads that we
can see the hand of God and even touch God’s heart. It’s
not what I desire but at least the Bumpy roads I have traversed
over in my life have left an indelible Life changing mark in my
life and formed the little hinges upon which
God is making me of use. Don’t ignore those potholes, corners,
bumps, stones thorns, blockades. In there God makes a way to make
you reach His intended destination. Don’t Stop when you reach
those hindrances, pray and trust God. My wife reminded me of the
bumpy road Jesus walked all the way to Calvary even with a cross
on His shoulders He progressed victory ward. Today all our futures
rests in Jesus’s triumph on the cross. Although it is not
his normal way of doing things, God only allows you to go through
them and He is right there in the middle like a Traffic Policeman
to guide you through so that you come out unhurt: If you get scratches,
He will still use them for His glory and you will come out moulded
into a better piece. Our Response is to yield to God wholly.
Gen 50:20 You plotted evil against
me, but God turned it into good, in order to preserve the lives
of many people who are alive today because of what happened.
