Christine reunites with her
brother
There
are children that had been displaced due to circumstances beyond
their control. A case in point is Nakanwagi Christine who had been
separated from her brother Henry. When their mother remarried immediately
after their father was put in prison,Henry was left under the care
of his grandmother. Christine followed the mother into the new marriage;
however, she was left vulnerable because she was never a priority.
The mother lives in a one- roomed house, which is not a good environment
for a girl child, given the fact that even the new husband of Christine’s
mother also resides here. Christine was irregular at school and
would sometimes baby sit her young brother while her mother is away
digging and so she would miss school.
With the school fees contribution Christine was able to relocate
to her grandmother’s house, join her brother Henry and now
goes to nearby school.
