The Sports Day was commenced by a parade where Wycliffe, the head teacher gave the opening remarks and urged the children to do their best for the winners were to be awarded handsomely. After the opening remarks, the activities were immediately kicked off. The children divided up themselves into 3 groups according to Joshua, Elijah and David and they participated in 8 games; that is, bottle filling, sack racing, dressing competitions, eating competitions, skip racing, 100m racing competitions, football and the egg on a spoon race. Unlike the eating competitions and the egg on a spoon race where the girls and boys competed together, for the rest of the activities they competed separately.
During the competitions, the spectators who comprised WOH volunteers and the rest of the children greatly cheered the participants from the sidelines.
After the match, a 100 meter race for both men and women was then done that is, between WOHM team members and the parents; and the parents took the lead in both categories.
After the races, the children were then gathered together; the best participants in all games were then awarded presents by Marjorie, Grace, Wilson and Wycliffe. Having been a mixture of all the three sports houses, Wasswa David from David house was crowned the best player.
A trophy was given to the overall competitive house which was David; after which Marjorie gave the closing remarks and congratulated the members of David house, upon winning.
