The children were given an opportunity to express themselves about how they felt when they visited their parents in prison and how they want it done better next time.
This is what they said:“We were so happy to see our parents once again.”; “We enjoyed the visit."; “This time we were given more than enough time and we want it to be like that all the time.”; "We shared a lot with our parents, compared to the other time when we were given just a few hours." The time given was appreciated by all the children who went gone to the different prisons. and that is Luzira – Upper Prison, Women Prison – Luzira and Nakasongola Prison. Catherine age 14, Marias age 10, Mary 16, Aloysious 13, Viola 9, Ben 11 and Helen 16 (secondary school), sister to Catherine and Marias are the children that visited their parents in Nakasongola prison. “We were happy to see our parents, this time they gave us a chance to see where our mothers sleep and the work they do like the gardens where they dig.” “We ate and shared a lot what our parent had kept and prepared for us.
