Ellen was the preacher of the day at Condemn Section with a message titled; " The Branches" John 15:1-8; she said that Jesus is the True Vine, our Father God is the Vine Dresser / Gardener, we Christians are the branches. Inmates were so blessed and given time to reflect on their own lives! The Assistant Pastor Zeph, said the message had helped him reflect upon his life and stop blaming other people for what had happened in his life, but instead be accountable for his own life and what he does! An inmate Yokoyada testified that before he was arrested as a young man, he used to fight a lot; at his village, he was known for that and indeed he ended up in prison, fighting was the order of the day in his life, "it must have been a demon in me", he exclaimed! “But when I was arrested, in the 3 months of my arrest I gave my life to Christ and I was delivered immediately! When my Mother came to visit me she asked me how I was managing without fighting, and I told her that it is not prison that has helped me, but it is Jesus!”
They shared their prayer requests in the books we always take them, but one of the major prayer request raised by their Senior Pastor Emmanuel was to pray for Parliament as they tabled the bill to abolish death row.
In Boma section, James shared about Living a Righteous life from 2Corinthians 6:9 and Genesis 39:21-23. He reminded the brethren that God is with them regardless of what they are going through and that they should cling to him. He urged them never to compromise in whatever they do but keep on doing good work and living a Life of integrity .
We would like to give thanks to all those who have and have continued to support us in prayer, financialy, morally and in every way, may the LORD Bless You!
