In the three prisons we have visited, the inmates are going through a series of discipleship classes. We are focusing on the four gospels although we have put emphasis on the gospel Mathew, the inmates have been taught about obedience, forgiveness and true repentance. The inmates have testified that their relationships with God is improving, they can now read and understand the bible by themselves. Over 15 inmates have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviuor.
During the month of July, over 90 inmates on Death Row went to court; among them were some of our beneficiaries. Mr. Samuel Kunya a father to three of our children was released from prison after 12 years and it was great news to both of us and the children. The rest of the parents were given a lesser sentence.
Steve and Gina provided the inmates with bibles and necessities like shoes, clothes, belts and toothpaste.
Delivery of Soya to Prisoners Living with HIV and AIDs
We were able to deliver 125 Kgs of Soya to inmates living with HIV/AIDS in Luzira Upper Prison on 24th of July 2014. Pastor Sunday Kafeero and Lunkuse Marjorie were among the volunteers involved in this outreach.
The process of getting to the inmates was not difficult as the officers did not give us any difficulties. We were handed over to Mr.Kamya Wavamuno who is the in charge of the Clinic. He mobilized a group of about 15 inmates who came to receive the soya on behalf of the others.
Mr. Kamya was so thankful for the continued support given because the condition of People Living with HIV and AIDS in prison is very terrible. He requested that we increase on the quantities of Soya and sugar delivered because the number of People Living with HIV and Aids is huge.
We thank God and all of you for your continued support otherwise, we would not be able to do all this.
