The crusade was commenced with words of encouragement and an opening prayer form Sunday. A praise and worship followed and was led by Basuni sounds choir and Remedy Prison choir.
Mrs. Ssuubi gave opening remarks re introducing wells of hope ministries’ and the entire team that had come to be part of the crusade. She gave glory to GOD for having enabled the crusade to take place and appreciated the congregation for having taken it upon themselves to attend
Mr. Kizito, the pastor for the prison Pentecostal church said before he was imprisoned, he served in both church and the shrine which is more less like serving both the Lord and the devil but when he got into prison, God delivered him totally and he serves only the Lord. He now calls himself the redeemed prisoner. He further thanked the Lord for Wells of Hope Ministries for God’s blessing over them for taking care of his children.
Pastor Sunday testified on how he grew up on street and made various attempts on committing suicide which was always in vain due to a voice that always talked to him that if he did it he would go to hell but rather accept Christ and live. He further said that when God saved him he is even afraid of death he now loves life more than ever .Through his testimony he encouraged the inmates not to give up on living in the kind of life they are living saying God has a life so wonderful for them as long as they have faith in him than the life in prison then.
He then asked the congregation to gather closer to the pulpit where all jointly prayed as the spirit lead and some gave their lives to Christ. Songs of thanksgiving were sung blessing God for what had happened.
We thank Evangelist Richard, Leonard, Yesu Akwagala Church and the Uganda Prisons for their support in changing the lives of prisoners.
