Prisoners Children at Christmas Time!

Friends Christmas is here again, Wells of Hope together with you wants to make children who are made to face the consequences of their parents being imprisoned smile! we are anxious to demonstrate to these children who are always forgotten and hidden away in society around Christmas time that they are a treasure and there is someone who cares and loves them .Every year through our hidden treasure programme we lessen the pain of a parent in prison

separated from their children by visiting and caring for these children. We take them gifts and we share the joy and hope that Christmas brings. The results are many, hope is regenerated .

We thank all people who made contributions towards the Christmas party of Children of prisoners, the list is endless but in particulars we thank PowerFm listeners who responded to the adverts and gave generously.
So on the 13th December 2008, we had about 60 Children come together with their guardians we held party for them and handed the gifts to them, the rest of the children also about 60 will receive their gifts as we visit them during the time when we are paying for their school fees in February this year. We do this to save on transportation costs, since these places are hidden in the villages.
So significant during the children's party was the presence of Rosette a girl who gotten lost and been given away to serve as a house girl, she has since been found. Her mother and Dad both ex prisoners attended and came forth to receive the children's gifts, it was so spectacular for these people who about two ago were all locked away and now were all present with their children whom we have been supporting.
Also present was Mustapha, one of the boys we support who had become a street Kid, after getting lost for two months, her mother who was present at the party was full of Joy as all of them together with children came forth to receive their gifts.
