Scouting has provided our children with an opportunity to learn new things, to provide service to others, children who belong to the scout club are well disciplined, clean, obedient, and they have improved with their self esteem, they can express themselves. They have learnt gardening,in this recent session they planted carrots.
Our scouts club has challenges which include lack of scout uniforms, camping equipments and scout literature.Any size of donation towards this is welcome.
They have been invited to attend a national scouts camp which will take place on 23rd -28th august 2013 at Kazi. Our children are so excited and eager to attend but we do not have funds to facilitate them. They need USD 350 to attend the camp. This money covers registration for 20 children ,food, Transport and and utensils.By attending the children will have an opportunity to mingle with other children from different walks of life, get exposure ,acquire more skills and generally learn new things. Florence Babirye our outreach assistant is in charge of the scouting programme , she works in close collaboration by John one of the teachers at the Academy.
